After a lot of behind-the-scenes work, we’re excited to announce that recycling is coming back to Chambers County!

Beginning January 2, 2026, Chambers County residents will once again be able to recycle at select Citizen Collection Stations. We’ll be launching with three locations, and with strong community participation, we plan to expand to additional sites in the future.

🌱 This is just the beginning! We’ll also be rolling out special recycling initiatives, including our new Bag It & Bring It™ campaign, focused on education and reducing materials that end up in the landfill.

TxDOT Traffic Alert: Chambers County
November 19, 2025

CHAMBERS COUNTY – Traffic on IH10 eastbound at the Trinity River Bridge will be reduced to one lane beginning at 9 p.m. tonight (11/19) to 5 a.m. Thursday, November 20. As part of the bridge maintenance project that is currently underway, the contractor will be conducting a traffic switch. After 5 a.m., motorists will be able to use the two outside lanes of IH10 eastbound. The IH10 eastbound on-ramp near FM 565 will also re-open.

This Memorial Day, we honor the brave men and women who gave their lives in service to our country. Their sacrifice reminds us that freedom is never free.

May we never take for granted the peace and liberties we enjoy because of their courage.

To the families who have lost loved ones in uniform, your strength and sacrifice are not forgotten.
