Can we talk about friendships for a second? 💛
Not everyone who calls themselves your friend is your friend. And not every friendship that feels good is God-sent. 🔥
Real kingdom friendships are rare. And that's okay. Because God never called us to collect people, He called us to be connected to the RIGHT people.
A kingdom friendship looks like:
✅ Someone who celebrates you in real life, not just in the comments
✅ Someone who pours INTO the relationship, not just takes from it
✅ Someone who brings life to your spirit, not just conversation
✅ Someone who builds you up in God, not just hypes you up in the world
✅ Someone who prays WITH you and FOR you
But here's the question nobody wants to ask ; 👉🏾 Who sent them?
Did God ordain that friendship or did they simply invite themselves into your life and you never stopped to ask Him about it?
Because the enemy will send people too. People who look like a blessing but carry an assignment against your destiny.
Ask yourself honestly:
🌿 Does this friendship go both ways, or are you always the one pouring?
🌿 Do they celebrate you in real life or only when it's convenient?
🌿 Is this a prayerful friendship? Do you build each other up in God?
🌿 Do they bring life to your spirit or do you feel drained every time you leave them?
🌿 And most importantly , did God send this person, or did they just show up and you never asked Him about it?
Don't just accept people into your inner circle because they're familiar, fun, or have been around a long time. Longevity doesn't equal God-sent. Don't be deceived. Pray about who you even label a friend. Not every open door is God's door. Not every connection is a kingdom connection.
Proverbs 13:20: ”Walk with the wise and become wise, for a companion of fools suffers harm."
Proverbs 27:17 "As iron sharpens iron, so one person sharpens another."
Less of me. More of God. Even in who we do life with. 🙏🏾
