Maybe it’s permanent, maybe it’s a season. I reserve the right to change my mind.. but for now it’s been 128 days since I’ve had a drink.
I won’t call it some rebirth.
But for now — I like seeing things clearly.
Even when it stings. Especially when it does.
I wanted to give myself the grace of healing from grief, & other pains like betrayals, without it for now..
And I don’t miss it.
I miss the social ritual — not the result.
I miss the mood — not the aftermath.
And I’m realizing clarity can be its own kind of high. Cold, unfiltered, and all mine.
