November is here! New month means new goals to accomplish.

What goals are you working on this month?

1 thing I’ve learned as a husband about having success in your finances, in business, in health/fitness, in marriage, or just in anything in life, is that you and your partner must both be in agreement and committed to achieving your goals.

By working together, your opportunity for success automatically increases.

Growth together as a couple involves growing together in all areas of one’s life.

How often do you and your spouse have conversations about goals you want to achieve?

𝐈𝐭’𝐬 𝐛𝐞𝐞𝐧 𝟔 𝐰𝐞𝐞𝐤𝐬 𝐬𝐢𝐧𝐜𝐞 𝐰𝐞 𝐦𝐨𝐯𝐞𝐝 𝐭𝐨 𝐚 𝐧𝐞𝐰 𝐬𝐭𝐚𝐭𝐞 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐡𝐞𝐫𝐞 𝐚𝐫𝐞 𝐚 𝐟𝐞𝐰 𝐭𝐡𝐢𝐧𝐠𝐬 𝐰𝐞’𝐯𝐞 𝐥𝐞𝐚𝐫𝐧𝐞𝐝 𝐰𝐡𝐢𝐥𝐞 𝐡𝐞𝐫𝐞! ✨🌲⛰

1. Moving requires so much work! JUST packing, loading, unloading and unpacking felt like forever! 📦Even though we only brought with us what fit inside and on top of our Jeep, it felt like we brought soooo much with us.

2. Create a Budget for necessary items & decorations. Since we left most of our furniture back in TX, we had to shop for new items (bed, couch, desk, etc.). 🛏🪑🖼🪞🖨🛋 Plus, we wanted to make our new apartment feel as comfortable as possible, so Homegoods, Ikea, and Marshalls were highly visited in the first few weeks! We quickly realized that if we weren’t careful, our expenses would get out of control! Having a budget we both agreed on really made a difference and helped to avoid any IMPULSE BUYING.

3. Plan date nights and places to visit. There’s so much to see and do around the Portland area, and we wanted to visit as many places and try as many restaurants as we could. 🌆🏔🚲🌊🏞 However, we had to remind ourselves this wasn’t a vacation where you have a limited amount of time to visit places. So we took a step back, and instead planned days/weekends we would go sightseeing. This not only helps budgeting but also gives us time to have tons of date nights.
