Y’all... I’m about to cry...

I made a friend around February thanks to the power of the internet. She is a writer and I’ve been giving her tips and pointers about freelancing and writing techniques.

She’s now nearly doubled her income and is starting to get more clients from the US (hard to do for most writers in her region.)

When my phone goes off at 4:30am, I always assume something bad is happening. But she just wanted to reach out and thank me for giving her a start in the writing world and helping her along the way.

I don’t write this as a humble brag. I write it because it’s good to have reminders that we can empower others by simply helping as we can.

My morning coffee has never tasted so good.

At the end of the day, the world is bigger than our plans for it.

The nature of those who can adapt is that they will survive.

The nature of those who can’t is that they perish in their own hubris.
