Houston LEAD Preparatory Academy

Dear friends and supporters,

We want to express our deepest gratitude for your unwavering support of Houston L.E.A.D. Preparatory Academy. Although we didn’t get state approval to establish our public charter school for students with autism, this journey has been incredibly valuable. Our commitment to supporting families impacted by autism and addressing opportunity gaps for Black and Brown children remains strong.

Throughout this process, we have learned that children’s best interests should always come before politics. School leaders need ongoing support and accountability, and building strong relationships is crucial. Transforming education requires efforts at all levels, and we must stay informed and engaged in elections to ensure all children receive the resources they need.

Stay tuned for what’s next from Houston L.E.A.D. Preparatory Academy. Our future efforts might look different, but we are dedicated to providing free, reduced, or low-cost services to families with autism, including parent and student education, autism services, and more.
