Not everyone can attend conventions, expos, or gaming events in person.
So we built something different. š¤
NEXUS is an online festival designed for the people who usually get left out ā whether thatās due to chronic illness, disability, finances, caregiving responsibilities, anxiety, or just life.
You still deserve community.
You still deserve experiences.
You still deserve to belong.
And this is only the beginning.
Iām live RIGHT NOW talking about it š«

My Surgery on Thursday was a success! š
I never imagined when I went to the ER in February that it wouldāve resulted in me having to have a hysterectomy. What I thought might have been a heart attack, and then they thought it was an autoimmune issue- possibly MS, turned out to be very severe pelvic congestion syndrome partnered with adenomyosis and hidden endometriosis (they didnāt find that until they were inside removing my uterus, cervix, and fallopian tubes.)
My veins providing the blood supply to my pelvic region were 9 times bigger than they were supposed to be⦠and my uterus was 3 times the size it shouldāve been. I had endometrial tissue growing through my uterine muscles, and I had cysts within my endometrium and uterus- and on my fallopian tubes and ovaries.
For the past decade Iād been declining in energy and suffered several stints of time where my heart couldnāt handle normal daily activities such as laundry or cleaning. Itād only been the past three years that it had been extremely debilitating. After seeing a cardiologist, an endocrinologist, a rheumatologist, an ENT, a GI doctor, a hematologist, and two gynecologists⦠I truly didnāt expect it to be my reproductive system slowly killing me.
To know that I will possibly be able to play with my kids again for longer than twenty minutes without needing to sit down, or go on walks outside with them⦠go back to the gym and not have my body start shutting down⦠and just have the energy to WANT to do anything again is so overwhelming.
I havenāt talked about much in extreme detail to all of you, but Iām excited for the future. Iāve got endless possibilities now, and Iām taking you all along for the ride š
I hope womenās medicine does better for us moving forward⦠Iāve heard so many stories like mine, and some way worse where others were short changed. I got the luxury of having an AMAZING gynecologist who let me SEE everything. I never had any questions unanswered, and I got every cysts or dark spot on my ultrasound explained⦠And never for a second had him try to not give me surgery. Women deserve better. We deserve better.
