🚨ATTN Hillside clients: Unfortunately, our website appointment-maker had a technical glitch and overbooked upcoming surgery dates beyond capacity. If you have RECENTLY (in the past few weeks) booked a spay/neuter surgery for the months of June, July, or August, you will most likely need to re-schedule your appointment. Our staff is contacting every client that has been affected and will work with you to confirm a new surgery date; please be on the lookout for phone and email contact from our team. Be sure to check your Voicemail and your Spam folder for any messages from our .org email domain.

Our Hillside clinic schedules surgeries 90 days in advance; if you booked your appointment for these summer months over 90 days ago, your appointment should be intact! If you have any questions, please contact our office at [email protected].

Apologies for any inconvenience, and thank you for your patience & understanding! 🗓

GUNTER AND MISKA NEED FOSTER HOMES: bit.ly/pfafoster
Meet Gunter, an 11-year-old distinguished gentleman with a heart as warm as his fluffy fur! This charming feline has spent his entire life alongside his beloved companion Miska, creating an unbreakable bond that speaks volumes about the love they share. Gunter is not just any cat; he’s a playful spirit who enjoys a game of fetch with his cherished toys. His snuggles are legendary, bringing comfort and joy not only to his human friends but also to his canine buddy Miska. Gunter is on the lookout for a foster home that will provide him the safety and affection he deserves until he can be reunited with Miska and their loving mom.

And meet Miska, the 11-year-old Husky with a heart as big as her love for her feline friend, Gunter! This sweet lady is not just a beauty, but also a gentle soul who gets along famously with other pets and people of all ages. Imagine taking leisurely walks with this delightful companion, who may not be the loudest Husky on the block, but certainly knows how to make her presence known with playful grumbles and charming noises! Miska does have a little secret – she takes daily medication in peanut butter to keep her bladder happy and prevent any accidents at home. Now, she’s on a heartfelt quest for a foster home filled with love and warmth, where she can be cared for until she can reunite with Gunter and their cherished mom: bit.ly/pfafoster

Over the past two weeks, our hearts have been heavy as we’ve had to turn away 11 courageous women in crisis, along with their beloved companions – 11 dogs and 4 cats – simply because we didn’t have enough foster homes available in our Whole Families Program.

Here is where you come in: imagine the incredible difference you could make by opening your home as a foster family! By stepping up, you can help keep these families united and give them hope when they need it most. Will you join us in this noble mission and be the safe haven they need? Your support can change lives, and we can’t wait to embark on this journey with you!

People For Animals will provide comprehensive support, including veterinary care, vaccinations, pet food, and supplies for every pet in our foster care program: bit.ly/pfafoster

SALEM & INFINITY NEED A FOSTER HOME: bit.ly/pfafoster
The clock is ticking for Salem and Infinity, two beloved pets who find themselves in a precarious situation while their worried mom anxiously seeks safe housing. The bond they share with her is palpable, and it’s heart-wrenching to think of them waiting in a hot car, longing for comfort and security. Salem, with his charming black and white coat, and Infinity, the lovely gray and white lady, are not just friendly – they’re fantastic companions who thrive on human connection.

Having lived with kids and other animals, they are house trained, know basic commands, and are eager to meet new friends, although they may pull on the leash when they spot someone they want to greet! Fostering them isn’t just a temporary solution; it’s a chance to make a meaningful difference in their lives and help keep this family together during a challenging chapter.

SUPPORT OUR SWEET PEA FUND: https://bit.ly/pfasweet
If a family faces financial hardship and their pet needs life-saving treatment, People For Animals' donor-supported Sweet Pea Fund is there to provide relief. This Fund was inspired by the senior shelter pup we rescued, and her legacy continues to aid cats like Naomi. When this feisty feline started showing troublesome signs on her bottom, she was brought to our clinic by her papa Freddy. We diagnosed her with a PYOMETRA, a potentially-fatal infection that can only be remedied with spay surgery.

Freddy considers his life to be “truly blessed” thanks to this eight-year-old Calico: “Naomi and I have faced truly hard times together but Naomi's love has been my rock and inspiration.” The Sweet Pea Fund made it possible for Naomi to get surgery right away without adding more stress to their family.

Even though she wasn’t a big fan of her recovery cone, Freddy let us know that “Naomi is doing great, thanks to the dedication of the doctors and staff.”

You can help provide life-saving care to more animals just like her with a donation to our nonprofit veterinary clinic: https://bit.ly/pfasweet
