🐢🐍🌿 Wild visitors made today extra exciting! 🌿🐍🐢
Today, we were thrilled to welcome our friends from the Ohio Metro Parks, who brought a few very special guests to visit our campers! Our Summer Camp friends had the incredible opportunity to meet a turtle, a snake, and one curious little toad while learning all about the important roles these animals play in Ohio’s ecosystems.
The excitement was contagious from the moment our visitors arrived! Our campers listened carefully, asked thoughtful questions, shared their own animal stories, and discovered fascinating facts about each of these amazing creatures. They learned how turtles protect themselves with their shells, why snakes are an important part of nature, and how even one tiny toad can make a big difference by helping control insects and keeping our environment healthy.
There were lots of smiles, wide eyes, and a few brave campers who were excited to get an up-close look! Experiences like this help children build confidence, spark curiosity, and develop a lifelong appreciation for the natural world. We love bringing hands-on learning opportunities to our Summer Camp because some of the best lessons happen when children can see, explore, and experience something new.
A huge THANK YOU to the Ohio Metro Parks team for spending part of their day with us and sharing their passion and knowledge about Ohio’s incredible wildlife. We are so grateful for community partners who help make learning exciting and memorable!

🍩💙 What a wonderful morning we had at our Donuts with Dad celebration yesterday! 💙🍩
A huge thank you to all of the dads, grandpas, uncles, stepdads, and special father figures who joined us for breakfast on Monday. It was so special to see our little learners sharing donuts, smiles, hugs, and laughter with the important people in their lives.
These moments of connection mean so much, and we loved watching the children proudly show off their classrooms and spend some extra quality time with their loved ones. The memories made during events like these are truly priceless!
Thank you to everyone who took time out of their busy schedules to celebrate with us. We are so grateful for all of the amazing father figures in our FLA family and for the love, support, and encouragement you give each day.

We are kicking off the week with happy hearts, busy hands, and hungry little bellies! Mondays at FLA are always full of excitement as our friends jump back into learning, playing, laughing, and spending time with their classmates. From morning smiles to afternoon giggles, there is never a dull moment around here. 😊

One of our favorite parts of the day is lunchtime! 🍎🥪 Watching the children sit together, practice conversations, learn table manners, and try different foods is such an important part of their growth. Mealtime is more than just eating — it’s a chance to build independence, social skills, and healthy habits. Whether they’re proudly opening their own lunch items, asking for seconds, or telling their friends all about their weekend adventures, lunchtime always brings so many sweet moments.

Of course, Mondays can be a little extra silly too! Someone always drops a noodle, someone asks for ketchup on everything, and someone somehow finishes snack before the teacher even sits down. 😂 But those little moments are what make our days so special.

We are so thankful for our amazing families and the opportunity to spend each day learning and growing with your children. Here’s to a week filled with fun, friendship, full tummies, and lots of learning ahead! 🌟
