Most people are out here hoping their ONE dog comes back…

Meanwhile on the Fetch Bus…

10 dogs.
Off leash.
Running free.
Squirrels everywhere.
Wildlife everywhere.
Temptation everywhere.

And yes — coming back when called.

Including Arya, our first-day husky, who understood the assignment real quick.

Some dogs recall within seconds.
Some need a little more time.
Some take the scenic route like they’re negotiating their contract.

But they all practice.
Every ride.
Every field day.
Every adventure.

Recall isn’t magic.
It’s repetition, trust, structure, and a little bit of “Maxi means business.”

Because calling dogs back when there’s nothing exciting around is one thing.

Calling them back when the squirrels are auditioning for a chase scene?

That’s the real work.

How does a day at work look like as a dog walker?

Sometimes I still laugh at that question.

Because a few years ago, my “work day” looked completely different.

Now it looks like loading up a bus full of dogs, driving to beaches, fields, trails, and open spaces… spending the day outside with sand on my shoes, wind in my hair, mud on the bus floor, and a pack of very happy doggies living their best life.

It looks like roll calls, water breaks, snack time, recall practice, dirty paws, tired smiles, and a ride home so quiet you can hear everyone snoring.

People call it dog walking.

But to me, it became something much bigger.

It became freedom.
For them.
And honestly… for me too.

This is Fetch Bus.
Not just a walk.
A whole day outside. 🐾🚌🌊

The bus is a vibe.
Wind in the face.
Friends in every seat.
A field waiting at the end of the ride.
Some dogs come for the hike.
Some come for the snacks.
Some come for the social hour.
But every single one of them understands one thing:
This is not regular transportation.
This is the pre-game.
Fetch Bus — where the adventure starts before we even get there.

Hot summer day. Big green field. Happy dogs. Real work.

Some are free roaming, some are on long lines, and two are in training on different leash lengths — because freedom is earned, not just given.

The rest of the pack? Practicing recall like pros.

This is what structured freedom looks like:
run, check in, listen, repeat.

Fetch Bus isn’t just “letting dogs loose.”
It’s building dogs who can enjoy freedom safely. 🌿🐾

“Mam… could you put your dog on a leash?”

No Karen, sorry.

This isn’t a dog park.
This isn’t a sidewalk.
This isn’t the parking lot at Home Depot.

We’re on a private property, with permission, in a controlled group, with dogs that have been carefully matched, trained, and conditioned to work together off leash.

The dogs are checking in, recalling, hiking, swimming, sniffing, making friends, and living their best dog lives.

I appreciate the concern.
The dogs do not.

Now if you’ll excuse us, we have ducks to supervise, ponds to investigate, and very important stick-related business to attend to.
