Pansy Miniature Study explores rich reds, layered shadows, and bold botanical textures in a compact floral composition inspired by the dramatic natural patterns found in pansies. This piece was created using mechanical pencil, kneaded eraser, colored pencil, India ink pen, and acrylic paint pen, then digitally refined with Snapseed and Procreate.

I’ve been really enjoying experimenting with small-scale floral artwork lately because every texture and line becomes more important at miniature size. The strong contrast in this one gave the flower an almost glowing appearance against the darker greens and earthy background tones.

Chrysanthemum Miniature Study is part of my ongoing Blooming Marvelous May and Miniature May artwork series. This piece was created using mechanical pencil, colored pencils, India ink pen, colorless blender pen, and acrylic paint pens, then refined digitally with Snapseed and Procreate.

The chrysanthemum itself was primarily built using rich magenta and fuchsia tones to create a bold layered floral look with strong contrast and texture. I really enjoyed experimenting with the dense petal structure and graphic ink outlines in this piece.
