🗳️ Feeling Politically Drained? You're Not Alone.
Whether you're red, blue, purple, or somewhere in between—political stress is real. And no, it's not just in your head.
According to the APA, Americans across the political spectrum have reported increased anxiety, irritability, and burnout around elections, news cycles, and political conversations. Sound familiar?
So what can we actually do about it?
âś… Limit the doomscrolling. Pick one or two trusted news sources and set time boundaries.
✅ Set conversation boundaries. It’s okay to say, “I can’t talk politics right now.”
âś… Do something small and local. Action helps us feel empowered instead of helpless.
âś… Take care of your nervous system. Go for a walk. Breathe. Unplug. Talk to a therapist.
✅ Talk it out (in safe spaces). Venting doesn’t mean you're giving up—it means you're human.
👉 Reminder: You can care deeply about what’s happening and still protect your peace.
🌱 Sustainable change starts with emotional regulation.
💬 Let’s support one another—without burning out.
