It’s always incredibly rewarding when the hard work of many brings something like this to fruition. I am so grateful to be a small part of this educational vision for Branford Public Schools. Our students deserve learning environments that help them grow, thrive, and ultimately discover who they are and who they want to be in this world. I can’t think of many other things that impact our children more than the investments we make in their educational futures.

Today, Branford leaders joined together at Mary T. Murphy Elementary School to announce $29.4 million in additional state support for Branford school construction projects through the recently passed Connecticut state budget from

The increased reimbursement rate for Murphy and Tisko Elementary School projects represents a significant investment in Branford students while helping reduce the anticipated financial burden on local taxpayers.

Thank you to , local leadership, educators, and community members for their partnership and advocacy on behalf of Branford students and families.

It’s gray and rainy here in Connecticut on this Memorial Day. Sadly, many of the parades and other commemorative events have been canceled in light of the weather. This had me thinking this morning about what it actually means for us to “celebrate“ this day. I listened to a long form poem by the talented this morning and one line really stuck with me: “Build a democracy worthy of the people who died for it”. As our country heaves and splinters under the weight of division caused by a federal administration more determined to break us than bring us together, this message feels particularly urgent. Today, in honor of those who gave their lives for our country, our responsibility is to protect and build a democracy as worthy of their ultimate sacrifice. That’s our charge today and every day. Democracy doesn’t survive if we sit on the sidelines. Those who fought and died for our country are the ultimate example of this fact. Because of this and because of them, we should never stop fighting to protect it.

I am Incredibly honored and grateful to be unanimously endorsed as the State Representative candidate by the delegates of the Guilford & Branford Democratic Town Committees. The last four years of serving this community as a legislator have been the most meaningful and rewarding work I have ever done (after being a mother to my four awesome kids). It has been inspiring and humbling to carry the voices of my constituents to my work in the legislature on their behalf. I’m excited to continue this critical work to ensure Connecticut can continue to be a place where every resident is supported, heard and can live a fulfilling life. I know the challenges we still face and feel prepared, knowledgeable and understanding of what it will take to make life in Connecticut more affordable, equitable, and welcoming for every person who chooses to call this wonderful place home.

On this Mother’s Day, I feel so incredibly blessed to call these four amazing humans (and one fluffy pup) my children. No other place I’d rather be on this foggy morning than wth these smart, funny, kind, curious and loving individuals. They make every hard thing so worth it and every success a shared celebration. Whatever this day means for you, I hope you can take a moment to recognize the mothers around you or the mother you are to the people you love. We wear a lot of hats, but I know my most cherished one is that of “mom”. ❤️❤️❤️❤️

Siné Die! Last night at midnight, we wrapped up the 2026 Connecticut legislative session. To say, 1 am humbled by the incredible work of my colleagues, constituents and advocates would not do this work justice. For the last many months, we have dedicated many early mornings and late nights to representing the voices of our communities, to advancing impactful legislation & trying, with everything in us, to make the lives of our Connecticut communities better. I never take for granted the honor | have in serving this wondertul, diverse and resilient state. The work continues as does my dedication to the people of the state. But, for today, I simply want to express my deepest gratitude.❤️
