I love when a brunch date turns into a troll hunt. 🧌🌲
You can find this giant hiding in the woods at Nordic Northwest in Tigard, Oregon. He’s one of the whimsical recycled-wood trolls built by Danish artist Thomas Dambo.
To see him, take the short forest trail that starts behind the Nordic Northwest building. It’s an easy walk and a fun little hidden gem.
Pro tip. Pair your troll hunt with brunch at Broder Söder and make a whole morning out of it. 🥞🌲🧌

Okay but THIS is what I mean when I say Portland has cool stuff if you look for it.
Hopscotch Portland is an interactive, immersive art exhibit in SE Portland with rooms full of light, sound, and sensory installations. You do not just look at the art. You walk through it and become part of it.
Tips: Buy timed tickets in advance and plan for about 60 to 90 minutes. It is perfect for date night, girls night, or when you want something different than a bar. (Plus they have really yummy drinks that you can order, too!)
It’s one of the most unique things to do in Portland right now. Especially on a rainy day.
Would I go again? Absolutely!
