Well… the wind grabbed our Casita door and tried to rip it into another dimension. 😅

So instead of relaxing on our trip, we ended up learning how to repair fiberglass on a Casita door.

Honestly though… it turned out WAY better than we expected.

This may be one of the worst hotels we’ve stayed in while traveling across America.

The water got shut off at 11AM.
The smoke detector was missing.
And the air conditioner sounded like a chainsaw all night while we tried to sleep.

Travel life isn’t always luxury hotels and perfect views. Sometimes you end up in places that feel one step away from being condemned.

While traveling in our Tesla with our Casita trailer, we’ve stayed everywhere from gorgeous penthouse suites to strange historic hotels where holes in the wall were literally patched with washcloths.

This is the real side of road travel.
