Why do some people assume deafness is a curse?

For centuries, deafness has been viewed through the lens of loss and limitation. But deafness is not a curse. Rather, it's a different way of experiencing the world.

The real challenge isn't deafness. It's the barriers, exclusion, and lack of access that many Deaf people face every day.

Every Deaf person is created in God's image and deserves to belong, be understood, and encounter His Word in their heart language.

Deafness is not a curse. Exclusion is.

Pray for families, teachers, and churches to recognize the God-given value of Deaf children. May they be surrounded by love, encouragement, and opportunities to grow in faith, confidence, and community. Pray that every Deaf child would know they are created with purpose, deeply loved by God, and welcomed into a community where they can thrive. 🙏
