Careful layout begins with a story pole to establish elevations for pre-cast concrete piers, grade beams, deck joists, and finished garapa decking materials—ensuring precise results.

This sunroom deck was a great addition to the project that began in the summer of 2024, adding both beauty and functionality to the home while creating another inviting space to enjoy the outdoors.

Modified an existing solid cherry upper cabinet to accommodate a new, taller refrigerator unit. This involved precision track-sawing the cabinet in place, followed by rebuilding two custom cherry cabinet doors to fit the adjusted opening. The new doors were crafted with frosted glass inserts to complement the existing cabinetry while adding a modern touch.

Living in Maine means dealing with huge temperature swings from summer to winter. Over the past 30 years, the exterior of the house has developed rot on the wooden fascia, window and door trim, cedar shakes, and clapboard siding.

To address this, we're replacing the old materials with fully primed radiata pine trim for the exterior fascias, corner boards, and window/door trim. We're also using replacement primed cedar shakes (eastern white cedar) and clapboard (western red cedar) siding to give the home in Scarborough a fresh look.

To ensure that the new materials last, we're priming all cuts with an exterior-grade oil-based primer and using stainless steel fasteners for installation.

Stay tuned for more updates on this exterior renovation, including the replacement of the two large western red cedar decks and front porch railings.
