The New Hampshire Center for Nonprofits awarded Kurt its 2022 Board Impact Award for his service to the veteran and first responder communities as the founder of Patriot Resilient Leader Institute and Camp Resilience, programs that improve social, mental, and emotional well-being at no cost to program participants. My political beliefs:
I don't like labels but if I have to use them, I'd say that I am a fiscal conservative and a social moderate.

I know it sounds corny but I truly believe in and try to live up to the West Point motto of "Duty, Honor, Country", the ideals of Scouting and the Rotary motto of "Service Above Self". I also understand, and in many cases sympathize with, the valid concerns of folks at both ends of the political spectrum but don't agree with the more extreme positions on either side. Unfortunately, politicians in both parties feel they must appeal to their respective party bases to win their primaries and thus we end up being represented by folks who advocate for much more extreme policies than I think the majority of the population agrees with. Thus, while I am running as a Democrat, I will be a moderate who will work with members from both parties and Independent to do what's best for Belknap Country and New Hampshire. I strongly believe that integrity and a willingness to compromise is more important than loyalty to either party.

United By A Common Goal
I support the efforts of the Citizens For Belknap to get rid of the extremists in the Belknap County Delegation and restore reasonable, responsible and representative government to the county.

I am a moderate with traditional values who believes in fiscal responsibility and that the most important things for any member of any legislature are integrity and a willingness to compromise. Without compromise, democracy doesn't work. I understand, and in many cases sympathize with, the valid concerns of people at both ends of the political spectrum but don't agree with the more extreme positions on either side.

I am confident that I can be a very effective representative for District 6 in the State House because of my integrity, willingness to work with members from both sides of the aisle, and ability to compromise.
