HAPPY EASTER TO EVERYONE. HOPE TO SEE YOU SOON!

Photos from Flancer's post 03/03/2026

We've prided ourselves in the two decades and a half of building relationships with many of you that were MORE than just customers. More like family and like Cheers "Where everybody knows your name."

Recently an all timer Lex Cassiere sadly passed away and his Life Celebration was yesterday at Ocotillo Country Club. I wouldn't have missed it for anything

Lex started coming in over 20 years ago and except for maybe a handful of times he always came in at lunch. A born salesman and a California and Utah dude his infectious quick witted personality made you immediately feel you knew him your whole life. He reminded me so much of the same buddies my second oldest brother had when I was a kid. He like them never stopped getting the most out of whatever you were doing.

He's the only person I know that told me he was old enough that he could ride his bike to Disneyland as a kid and could even sneak in.
"Lex, I didn't realize going on the "Teacup Ride" so much was that cool " I joked to him.
"Mykey (he always called me that) the girls like to ride ALL the rides. We rode our bikes to meet the girls!" Dummy me should have known. Lol!

When he first came in he was usually with his coworkers Jim Ryan and Christine. The Benzer even as smart as he was would stumble with names sometimes and called Lex "Rex" early on and so Lex called him "Ren". He still refered to him as that when asking about him. Ben didn't know Christine's name and just said "The hottie'. That name stuck for 20 years too.

As time went on we got to know his sons and tons of other fellow HD Supply guys plus other customers Lex would bring in that worked close. He TOTALLY had home field advantage and I LOVED how many will still come in and don't even have to name drop him. Lucky us I always say.

He and Jim would come in with trivia mostly sports but rock and roll stuff too or even Presidents since he knew my Mom taught history (and after he met my parents multiple times he STILL would always ask how my Mom was doing.)

He gave everyone a nickname and renamed menu items "Pastramee" for Pastrami and Lemonade was "Limanada" amongst others He could pop in and order to go and we'd get a few minutes of entertainment while he got his lemonade and make the rest of my day. His tax guy is in the same parking lot that we are. Extra bonus trips. Lol

In closing we feel blessed to have gotten so close to many of you. At the Life Celebration I must seen 15-20 people at least that have been to Flancers that weren't even related to Lex. Made it easier to smile than cry.

So if you ever wonder if you think you are making a difference in more ways than just coming to eat. You are.

Best customers ever. And I have the stories to prove it. (again)

Love
Myke and Flancers
