“With the flip of a switch” ISC’s team recently energized the first-ever solar over canal project in the Western Hemisphere. We're proud to be working for PMIP (Pima Maricopa Irrigation Project) and their tribal affiliates, GRICUA - Gila River Indian Community Utility Authority, and GRIDD (Gila River Indian Irrigation and Drainage District) on this unprecedented/innovative project. This system will not only produce a large share of the electricity needed for the Gila River Indian Community but also reduce evaporation by shading the Casa Blanca canal. It is important to mention that this project was built using Indigenous and Minority-owned contractors such as Miami Wiipica, a member of the Miami Tribe of Oklahoma, SAC (Straight Arrow Contracting) and ISC.
