There are areas on the community streets were there are large cracks in the asphalt. We would like to ask for your input about where these are located so that the Town of Gilbert can come out and address. If you know if any cracks that are greater than 2" in width or any damage to asphalt that needs repair, please report it by calling in to the Town at 480-503-6800. We need a lot of calls in to get them to move. They have delayed for 2 years now to get some of these repairs done and without calls, it will not happen. Please help by making a call and mentioning this. Thanks.
We met with Alex Winter (Landscaper) this week to discuss the front entrance area off of Allen and Pecos. A large tie in has been needed to the water main in order to provide proper irrigation to this area. This will be completed soon and rock will be added to the area where there is dead grass now and the border will be removed. At our October meeting on October 13th, we will presented with some options for the entry design that we would like the community input on.
There are 3 other main areas in the community that have not been watered for the last 6 months. The goal for these areas was to reduce our community water bill. The original plan was to convert these areas to a desert landscape but due to the higher than planned cost of conversion, we will be converting 1 of these areas in September (by the basketball court off of Allen) and we will wait on the other two to phase them in. Until we can afford to convert the other 2 areas (by Bellacere), we will green them up again by over-seeding in early October.
Thanks for your patience. We are working hard to make sure that the changes that are made are done right for the long term and that the community money is spend in a fiscally responsible manner.
The tree trimming has been ongoing this past five weeks of intense work, but we are nearing the finish line.
Only Pecos remains, with some of the largest trees in the community existing along Pecos. We will have these final few trees completed within the next 10 days.
This monsoon season we have had only 1 tree lose, and minimal tree branches damage by the wind. I think this past year of landscape service and current tree trimming is providing the community with some much needed healthy tree canopies and branch structure.
We have started a new plant and tree committee. We would like input from all four neighborhoods. If you would like to have some input into the plant replacement process, please contact Kinney Management.
