Knowing how to count and track your contractions is really important for laboring at home and knowing when to head to the hospital or call your midwife! 🤰🏼

There are two important things to keep track of when counting contractions:
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
💗 Frequency: This measures how often you’re contracting. You can measure this from the start of one contraction to the start of the next one.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
💗 Duration: This measures how long a contraction lasts. To measure, start a timer when your feel the contraction begin, and stop the timer when your contractions ends!

Tracking these two things help you to know where you might be in your labor process! 👶
