We are in urgent need of foster families! Several dogs require immediate placement, and local shelters are at full capacity. This situation presents a significant challenge, and I kindly request your assistance. If you have ever considered providing foster care, now is the ideal time. Kentucky Dachshund Rescue Inc. provides comprehensive veterinary care and support; you simply need to offer a safe and loving environment for these dogs to recover. We welcome foster applications from Kentucky, Indiana, Tennessee, Ohio, Illinois, and West Virginia. Our virtual home visits enable us to reach a broader audience. A fenced yard is typically required, although exceptions have been made in the past. We also accept gated decks, enclosed porches, and exercise pens. Please note that Dachshunds are prone to running, so secure containment is essential. Examples of suitable arrangements can be found on our website. Buddy is a lover.....if you are a female he will give you his heart.....Want a fellow that's housetrained? He's got it covered. This fellow can snuggle up to you and make you really smile....
He's not pushy about it....He just has a great way with the ladies...
He's also voice trained....so when you talk to him, its as though he really understands.
Buddy will develop a bond like no other. He's okay being alone for several hours and never tears up anything or soils his surroundings.
He is not a barker either....though he does whine some when youre on the other side of the door.
He does great with female dogs as companions too ( small like him) but he'd rather not have to negotiate a toy with a male dog...
