✍️ Take Action Against Hunger with Bread for the World!

As part of our Feeding Indiana initiative, we're inviting all congregations to learn about a powerful advocacy opportunity: the Offering of Letters!

Bread for the World is a collective Christian voice urging our nation's decision makers to end hunger at home and abroad. Through the Offering of Letters, we'll be calling on Congress to recommit to ending hunger.

This will be part of our 2026 Annual Conference mission project!

Ash Wednesday is Feb. 18, 2026 and Lent Season is quickly approaching and we are excited at Christ UMC! We will be offering a "Drive Thru" Ash Wednesday Blessing in Georgetown, Indiana from 8 a.m.-10 a.m. Our Pastor will offer a blessing and deliver the ashes to you personally as you stop by in your vehicle under the canopy on that day. We are located at 1618 Canal Lane, Georgetown, Indiana.

A Drive Thru Blessing on Ash Wednesdy:

• Accessibility and Inclusivity: It is perfect for those with busy work schedules, parents with young children who can't easily unstrap car seats, and individuals with physical limitations or mobility issues.

• Personal Connection: Unlike a crowded service, this allows for a brief, personal interaction with the pastor. Some find it more meaningful because the pastor can offer a prayer for your specific need if requested.

• Outreach: It’s a low-pressure way for anyone who might not attend a church but still feel a spiritual longing for the ritual.
