Thompson Racing

2018 racing season has come to an end. With that being said we want to take the time to thank the Klink #49 team for the great opportunity to drive for them this past year. Billy was able to have chances to race in places he wouldn't have normally been able to. He was able to give them their 1st ever wins, always a top 5 finish & rounded out their season with a 2nd place in points.

As some of you have asked & others already knew whether Billy will be racing for them again in 2019. Billy has made the very difficult decision to not race for them another season especially with a great 2018 season (trust me) he didnt want to quit on them. He went into the 2018 season racing his last year with the Klink's, & he would retire end of season, (now only some know of his retirement). Now after a great year he had his mind made up that he was going to race another year for them. But after several & I mean several long late night talks & day conversations with him. He realized that he needed to stick to his word for his family as the end of 2018 would be his last year, although between the disagreements with me & refusing to quit we made a compromise & he will be racing his car but only major races.

We felt with all the questions on what he was doing or the miscommunication of why he was not driving for them this year we as a car owner ourselves owe it to our fans, supportive family & friends to clear up the air. We need to do what is best for our family. It is hard to spend with with your kids & do things they love to do when Billy's time is spent working 6 days a wk at times, add in shop nights, & wknds spent at the tracks. Our kids are only getting older & we are missing time watching them grow.

We want to wish all the our fellow racers good luck in 2019 & again thank you Karl, Mel, Joe Klink & their team for such a great opportunity. We love y'all & wish you the best in 2019.

2nd win of the season for the Very proud of my husband. Had a double feature night, started 3rd in the make-up feature, took 1st & won the feature. Started 7th in second feature & finished 3rd. Another top 5 finish.
