🏐✨ Shiny Stars Volleyball Tournament — A Day to Remember! ✨🏐

What an absolutely electrifying day of volleyball yesterday! We came home exhausted but overflowing with love for this incredible community. 🙌

By the numbers:
📅 All-day event | ⏰ 7 AM sharp start
🏐 19 competing teams
👥 150+ attendees — players, families, friends, dignitaries, and even curious park-goers who wandered over and stayed to cheer!

🏆 Beautiful trophies that had every player dreaming of taking one home!

A massive kudos to Vamshi Pulusu - the energy, and the driving force from planning all the way through ex*****on! 🫡

This tournament ran seamlessly thanks to two incredible volunteer crews who showed up at 6:30 AM and didn't stop until cleanup wrapped around 9 PM.

Heartfelt thanks to our committee leaders: Chandra, Sudheer, Ram, Sundeep, Bhannu, Rajesh, Naga, and Vamshi, who kept check-in, food & beverages, court management, timekeeping, refereeing, and the wellness area running like clockwork all day long.

We were also honored to welcome Councilman Elmo E. Vance, who joined us and stayed for several games. We loved sharing our vision of bringing a dedicated sports ground to the Town of Garner — thank you for listening and for your presence!

Wonderful evening at the Executive Mansion wrapping up Asian American and Pacific Islander Heritage Month alongside so many incredible community leaders, families, and friends from across North Carolina.

Shiny Stars was honored to be invited to an evening that celebrated culture, connection, and community. Events like these are a meaningful reminder of how much strength and unity can be found when people from different backgrounds come together in one space.

Thank you to Governor Josh Stein, First Lady Anna Stein, and the entire team behind the event for continuing to create opportunities that reflect the diversity and spirit of our state.

It was also a pleasure hearing remarks from Senator Jay Chaudhuri and other community leaders throughout the evening, sharing stories of service, leadership, and the lasting impact of community across generations.

Really lovely evening all around.

In recognition of National Police Week, Shiny Stars stopped by Garner NC Police with one of our students and dropped off a few trays of cookies as a small thank you.

Garner PD, we are so thankful for your service and protection of our community each and every day! 💙

​It was so meaningful to spend time together yesterday at our Women’s Health & Heart Care Seminar. A huge thank you to Dr. Mamatha Sirivol for sharing vital insights on preventive screenings, heart health and general heal5h myths and awareness.

It was a truly engaging session. The doctor even tackled over 20 personal questions during the Q&A!

We are launching a dedicated Tech Pillar focused on the *how* and *why* of technology, not just be aware of the latest buzzwords.

​Led by Ambica Pawan Khandavilli, our monthly meetups will be based on one of the themes below:
1. ​Sessions by guest speakers who are practitioners
2. Deep dives into tech logic and strategy.
3. ​Hands-On Workshops: Real opportunities to build, participate, and master the work.
