I remember In 1998 just after President Suharto’s government in Indonesia had been deposed. I had just ended a two week adventure in Indonesia, where I worked with our Maranatha Churches group starting 7 new churches in 7 cities.

I had ministered a few weeks earlier in Morning Star Ministries with Rick Joyner. Rick challenged me that I was more of an Evangelist than a prophet. I told him, “If I am an evangelist then in two weeks I should be able to win 1,000 souls to Jesus and Baptize them in water and they added to the church.”

Pastor Ariel Siregar and I Apostolically and Prophetically opened those 7 churches and at the end of two weeks we had proved that I was more of a Prophet than an Evangelist, since we only won 665 people to Jesus and added them to the churches. When I left Jakarta, the Military rolled a tank over the runway and closed the airport and coop de’tate Suharto’s government.

Jesus spoke to me, “Rusty, you did not get your 1,000 souls.” I said, “That’s alright I am a prophet and not an evangelist.” Jesus said, “Hello My son Rusty, you asked me for 1,000 souls and you didn’t get them, I am not confused as to who you are and what ministry I have called you into, but you accepted a man’s challenge.” You have to go back to Indonesia ever two months until you get your 1,000 souls saved and added to the churches!”

Now it became very dangerous to go back to Indonesia, 315,000 foreigners were airlifted out of Indonesia, and the USA Govt. Warned all citizens to not go to Indonesia saying, “We cannot protect you.” Well in my life time the US government has never protected me - But Jesus has! So I went back and started 22 churches in all and won 1,400 students and others getting them committed to these new Churches!!!

My friend Jay Rogers formerly the Editor of the Forerunner Newspaper found and sent me this prophecy that I released in June of 1998, the significance of it is that now in 2026 Indonesia is in the 10 Top Countries in the World in GDP….. and part of my prophecy was speaking to the Nation of Indonesia!

Dear Brothers and Sisters,

I was recently in Indonesia where I was in charge of the prophetic ministry for our conference. Two days prior to the conference where we trained 500 Indonesians to win others for Jesus and move in the prophetic, God gave me this word. Usually most words are spontaneous, but this one I mainly took dictation from the Spirit. Since Indonesia is experiencing an economic melt down and great turmoil is everywhere, many are trusting more ferverantly in Jesus. Well I thought you might receive some insight so here it is:

Prophetic Word for Maranatha Indonesia prophesied by Rusty Russell on June 16, 1998:

These are days that I am moving by the power of my Spirit. For I said in days of old, that when the enemy would come in that like a flood I would raise up a standard against him. So today I am raising up a standard in this country.

There are more of you than there are of the enemy. But you say no this is not true. But you don't see what I see, I see my angelic host that is with you and I see My Body which I have placed in your land. You only see yourself and those that are nearest to you. But I have many in my flock, many you don't recognize and many more that make up who I am in these Islands. You are not alone, but you are many. I will use this crisis and these difficulties that are upon you for my purpose and the enemy will not win. For My people that are called by My name, will begin to come together, I will build up the broken down walls with new walls, but these will not be for separation from each other, but they will be walls of unity and trust, walls of hope and linkage.

Every man and every church has been an island unto himself, but now you are seeing that it is time to rid yourselves of old hurts and wounds and learn to love each other and work and walk together. How can an enemy defeat you if you stand in unity together arrayed in battle armor, but if you continue to fight with each other and make each other the enemy then surely you will bite and devour one another and I will not be able to raise up my voice for this nation.

I am preparing a people who will not only worship me, but who will be counted to lead this nation to new victories. I will raise up a man whom will have the heart of the people and my heart will be with him. I will cause this nation to rise again but with righteousness and truth in its heart and not greed and corruption. I am looking for men and women today who are not afraid to voice My opinion as their opinion, I will and can use many of you to be leaders on your university, in your cities and nation. Don't say it can never happen. Don't say what I can't do, but say Lord here I am use thou me! Isaiah was a man like you, who didn't think that I could use him. Even when I needed to have a preacher, one to speak for me, for, when he recognized that he was a man with unclean lips and lived among a people of uncleanness, he cried out for me to cleanse him. I sent my angel to touch his lips with a coal of fire from my altar.

I cleansed him and put My fire within him. When I spoke again and said, "Whom shall I send with My message from My throne, Isaiah was the first to rise and say, ‘Lord, send though me!'"

I want to touch you this week by my Spirit, my Word, and with my Heart, putting my fire within you. For as you yield to Me I will cleanse you from former hurts, failures, disappointments and discouragement. I will make you ones that can build walls of unity, trust and hope for My purposes. Many will want to add you to their movement, love and honor them, but do what I say and I will use many of you to make the difference in your cities that will cause righteousness to win instead of sin and anarchy.

Already I have thousands of prayer warriors throughout this land who have and are fasting and praying for my will to come to pass. They are breaking up the unity of the enemy, setting up ambushes and bringing angelic deliverances to many. Yet, they are not the total answer. I am calling for my Body, the church, to be one recognizing each ones needs. Honoring one another and supplying that, that each joint needs.

In My army I have many generals, and many soldiers. I am equipping them for the battle, but not to kill people, but to rescue them. I have trained many of them and you are some of them.

I have a harvest of young people ready to come into my Kingdom. I am mobilizing you now to put courage within My people, to bring many into My possession. Fear not the evil one, but move in love and pray and witness and believe Me that I am able to keep you safe even when it looks like you are not. Be of good courage, for I have defeated the evil one. Be bold and listen for I will direct your paths and put you into strategic places, even like Esther, I have raised up some of you for this very purpose that I might bring forth a great deliverance.

I am with you, be filled afresh with my presence and my joy and strength, leaning not to your own understanding, but leaning unto to Me. For I will direct your paths and I will bring increase even while many are decreasing.... Let my light shine in and through you and see My victory and growth and unity. Says the Lord.
