🇭🇳 On the ground in Honduras, the Lord is at work!
Through medical and dental clinics, theological education, local church partnerships, children's ministry, food distribution, and Gospel proclamation, the Honduras Baptist Dental Mission continues to faithfully serve communities throughout Honduras in the name of Christ.
Why share the Gospel at a medical clinic? Because every person who enters carries a need greater than any earthly doctor can treat. Cavities can be filled, infections can be healed, and bodies can be strengthened, but only Christ can save sinners and give eternal life.
In our latest article, we explore how HBDM uses medicine as a means of Gospel ministry, trains future pastors through its seminary program, partners with local churches, and welcomes mission teams from across the United States to join in the work of the Great Commission.
Please take a few moments to read, pray, and consider how the Lord is using faithful servants to make Christ known in Honduras.

Why Church History Matters When We Read Scripture
We often open our Bibles as if we are the first to do so, without considering the long line of faithful believers who have wrestled with the same text before us.
This piece reflects on why church history matters for biblical reading, why it strengthens, not replaces, sola Scriptura, and how resources like the ESV Church History Study Bible can help us listen more carefully to the wider witness of the church across the centuries.

At Sojourner Magazine, we often tell stories from the front lines of global missions, but sometimes the mission field is much closer to home, even inside of it.
Raising children in the fear and admonition of the Lord is not separate from the Great Commission, it is one of the primary ways it continues from generation to generation.
Our latest article reflects on Matthew Boswell’s That Holy Week So Long Ago and how gospel-centered family discipleship helps shape the next generation with the hope of Christ’s death and resurrection.
Before the gospel reaches the nations, it is first meant to be treasured in the home.

What does it mean to be Called?
The doctrine of calling stands at the heart of the Christian life, yet it is often misunderstood or reduced in contemporary discussions. Scripture presents a far richer vision: God is the One who calls, summoning sinners to salvation in Christ, forming a redeemed people for Himself, and sending His church into the world for faithful service and mission.
In this new article, we explore the biblical doctrine of calling across the canon of Scripture, with special attention to its gospel foundation, its unfolding in redemptive history, and its implications for discipleship, ministry, and the life of the church.
From the saving call of God in Christ to the shared calling of every believer to holiness and service, this study invites readers to recover the depth, clarity, and joy of what it means to belong to the God who calls.

Feeling weary? You’re not alone.
In our latest article, we turn to the age-old, pastoral wisdom of Richard Sibbes, a man who knew what it meant to share the hope of the Gospel with heavy hearts, understanding:
Christ is more merciful than your sin 🙏
More gentle than your weakness 🌿
And sovereign even over your suffering ✝️
Rooted in Scripture and the historic witness of the church, including the Second London Baptist Confession of Faith and the Baptist Faith and Message 2000, this article reminds us that true rest is still found in Christ alone.

There are small decisions in the life of a church that reveal more than we think. One of them is simple: Is there a Bible in the pew?
In this latest piece from Sojourner Magazine, we argue that this isn’t a minor preference, it’s a theological conviction with real implications for worship, discipleship, and mission.
“Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly…” (Col. 3:16)
