🎉 Mid-Coast Texas Master Naturalist Milestone Celebration! 🎉
Friends and neighbors, we are thrilled to share this powerful snapshot of what our dedicated volunteers have accomplished together.
This is our May 2026 Hourskeeper Report — and the numbers tell an incredible story of service, stewardship, and love for our coastal home:
May alone:
1,332.5 volunteer service hours + 110 advanced training hours
2026 Year-to-Date: 6,805.25 service hours
Since our chapter began in 2000:
276,000.5 hours of volunteer service
valued at $7,011,159 at the standard $23/hour rate!
These aren’t just numbers. They represent thousands of days out doing impactful projects - from bay and beach cleanups that protect our sea turtles and shorebirds, land and oyster habitat restoration, Sea Turtle and Bird rescues and rehabilitation, watershed lessons that inspire our kids, native plant projects that restore habitat, bird migration awareness efforts, various school districts, Victoria College, Jr. Master Naturalist and S.E.E.D. programs educating and inspiring our youth, public education, new member training and so much more!!!
This June 6th at Barnhart Ranch, we proudly celebrated crossing the $7 Million milestone in volunteer service value! It’s a testament to every Master Naturalist who shows up with heart, knowledge, and boots-on-the-ground commitment to our environment and community.
A huge thank you to every volunteer, public volunteers who showed up to help us, our partners, and the supporters who make this work possible. Together we’re making a lasting difference for the places and people we love.
If you’re passionate about nature, education, and conservation, we’d love for you to join us or support our efforts. The impact is real — and it multiplies when we work together! 💚

🌿⚾ What a fantastic Texas Master Naturalist Night at the Hooks game!
Our Mid-Coast Chapter brought nature education, fun, and community spirit to Father's Day weekend. From the field pre-game interview and first pitch to our popular Nature Tattoo Station and "Nature's Wildest Dads!" photo booth — the energy was amazing!
Huge thanks to everyone who stopped by our table, got a tattoo, took a Kings Feed the Bees Seed packet, snapped a photo, and learned about our programs like S.E.E.D. for youth, wildlife rescue, habitat stewardship, and more. Special shoutout to our volunteers and partners who made it all happen!
We’re proud to educate, inspire, and protect the natural resources we all love here on the Texas Coast.
