1. Most obvious not cleaning them properly or with the right cleaning agents; make sure you do your research before putting just anything on them.
2. Shoes are your enemy, we bring in so much dust and dirt so ditching those in your mudroom is best; wear slippers around the house, we can all agree they are cozy and gentle with your floor.
3.Not putting felt stickers on your furniture legs can cause scratches, those I find are the easiest to install and will prevent any damage.
4. Rolling chairs are a huge no; if you must make sure you buy a protective mat.
5. Sweeping or vacuuming with abrasive brushes, this one is pretty straight forward make sure your vaccum or your broom have gentle bristles that won't scratch the floor.
