Long hours in work shop… self care is important! Take time to build YOU!

I’ll never forget this moment from many years ago. At the last minute, I was able to attend this event with the company I worked for at the time. After Lori finished speaking, they announced she wouldn’t be able to stay and mingle because she had a flight to catch.
With the amazing encouragement of my coworkers—who believed in my vision before it was fully formed—we saw a small window of opportunity. So, nerves and all, I boldly introduced myself. Lori couldn’t have been more gracious. She handed me her card and invited me to reach out.
I never did.
At the time, I felt like I was “just” a startup and didn’t have enough to share that would interest her. Looking back, I realize how important that lesson was.
It doesn’t matter what stage you’re in—believe in yourself anyway.
That moment, and many others with incredible professionals along the way, helped build the confidence I have today to pitch and share my vision boldly. 😉
