I once heard an analogy that compares God to a potter and us to clay. God shapes us into His image.

The process of transforming clay into a pot involves careful molding and pressure to create something good, useful, and purposeful. If there are imperfections or distortions in the clay, the potter spends more time refining it. Each piece of pottery requires patience and attention, as the potter works to make it into its intended form. If a pot breaks during the process, the potter doesn’t discard it. Instead, he takes the broken pieces and carefully reworks them into something beautiful again.

In the same way, God, our potter, handles each of us individually and with intention. He patiently molds us, refining us until we become what we were meant to be. And when we feel broken, He picks us up and transforms us into something marvelous.
