Real Talk.
Not all senior living options provide the same level of care and understanding the difference matters.
🏡 RCFE (Licensed Care)
Provides support with daily care, medications, supervision, and help with everyday activities.
🏠 Room & Board
Is for individuals who are independent meals and housing are provided, but no care is included.
Choosing the right option comes down to one thing:
👉 The level of support needed.
If your loved one needs help with daily living, supervision, or medications RCFE may be the safer choice.
If they are fully independent and just need a place to live with meals room & board may be appropriate.
Knowing the difference can make all the difference.

One of the biggest misconceptions I hear from people who want to open a Residential Care Facility for the Elderly (RCFE) in California is that the biggest cost is the house.
In reality, the house is only one piece of the process.
Opening a licensed care home requires preparation in multiple areas including licensing fees, administrator certification, fire clearance, staff training, insurance, facility setup, and proper documentation systems that meet Title 22 requirements.
When these systems are built correctly from the beginning, operators avoid many of the costly mistakes that can delay licensing or lead to compliance issues later.
Preparation is what turns a house into a licensed, compliant care facility.
Real Talk RCFE helping operators build strong, compliant care homes from day one.
