A chance meeting at the paint store led to one beautiful transformation ✨
This home received a thoughtful refresh and remodel as the homeowners prepare to begin a new chapter. Layered neutrals, warm textures, timeless finishes and elevated details helped create a space that feels fresh, calm and ready for its next owners.
There’s something special about helping a home transition from one story to the next 🤍

Such a special project to bring to life.
The heart of this kitchen started with something truly meaningful — the original cabinets were made years ago at the Frederick School for the Deaf. Rather than replace them, we reimagined them. We introduced a custom paint color that instantly softened the space and set the tone for the whole kitchen — organic country with a quiet European feel.
From there it became about layering the right materials and details. We went on a bit of a scavenger hunt to find the exact Taj Mahal quartzite slabs — the veining and warmth had to be just right. The backsplash was lifted beyond the standard 4-inch builder splash to give the stone room to breathe, a small change that makes a surprisingly big difference.
We added cabinetry to create a generous island that now anchors the room, designed to flow seamlessly with the repurposed cabinets so nothing feels new or forced. New hardware and exposed hinges give a nod to classic craftsmanship, while a fantastic induction hob keeps things practical for a serious cook. The existing ovens stayed but were built in so they quietly disappear into the cabinetry.
A new stone floor grounds the space, beautiful lighting adds warmth, and gorgeous leather counter stools bring texture and comfort.
The final cherry on the cake — custom window treatments with just the right touch of whimsy.
And perhaps the best part: this client is an artist, so her own work now lives proudly in the space, making the kitchen feel deeply personal and completely hers.
