Monel 400 Plate (AMS 4544 / QQ-N-281) as well as EH-36 Plate for Marine application. EH-36 used primarily in shipbuilding / repair and other marine applications. The high strength characteristics service the structural requirements of ships, barges, and other types of marine equipment. Monel 400 Plate on the other hand is a ductile nickel-copper alloy with resistance to a variety of corrosive conditions. This Nickel plate is most frequently specified in environments ranging from mildly oxidizing through neutral and in moderately reducing conditions. An additional application area of the material is in marine environments and other nonoxidizing chloride solutions.

The corrosion resistance of MONEL alloy K-500 is substantially equivalent to that of Monel 400 except that, when in the age-hardened condition, alloy K-500 has a greater tendency toward stress-corrosion cracking in some environments.
