Theirs a difference between holding up traffic and traffic being slowed down. Holding up traffic means it's not moving at all, or moving at 5mph max. Traffic being slowed down to 20 or 30 mph when the speed limit is set at 35 mph is still fine, because that word limit means you can go slower, and that you as a driver should expect slow moving vehicles like bikes, scooters, and skateboards and to share the street with them.

What else could you use gas money on? If you didn't have to pay insurance on your vehicle every month or quarter, could you live in a nicer place? An entire world opens up when you get rid of car dependency.
