PERSONALLY...
I never did a Dry January.
I wrecked myself so bad with drinking, my change started with a 90 and 90.
SO, IF...
You're the average habitual drinker, 30 days dry is usually enough to accomplish a physical reset...AND a reset of drinking habits going forward.
BUT, IF...
You're still cranky after not drinking for 3 weeks straight...and you would rather save the YEARS I spent going round-and-round before finally understanding it all (whether you like AA, therapy or neither), I'm the guy I wish was available back when I was in your shoes.

There are a lot of people out there offering to help, but shouldn't 😕
I recommend paying attention to a few things when looking for a someone to help you with your drinking change:
✔ Attentive listener
✔ End-Game thinker
✔ Calm and clear speaker
✔ Values your time and their time
✔ Asks questions about your current alcohol relationship
✔ Answers questions about your desired drinking change

Some drinkers CAREFULLY MANAGE their "leave-it more than take-it" alcohol relationship.
Some drinkers are CAREFREE about their "leave-it more than take-it" alcohol relationship.
Both are Casual Drinkers.
