Everleigh was nice enough to let Miss Lola borrow her car this last weekend so she could complete her rookie training!

Lola was a little shy at first but once she got on the track, she was a fish in water! Just like riding a bike for her! She did excellent for her first time ever on the track and unlike her siblings before, she kept it off the wall 🫣😂👍🏻.

Lola is excited as ever to join the race team! 🏁💪🏻 Lola and Everleigh will be in the same class to start this year, we will see if there is any sibling rivalry on the track🤜🤛😉

Shoutout to the Grandparents for watching the other kids while Taylor is still in the hospital and big shoutout to Jess Rose for letting Everleigh talk her ear off in the tower while Lola took to the track with me😂😉

Also big thank you David Fredrickson for being a great mentor for Lola as she battled the nerves!🏁

As promised, here is the FREE lady's day educational range day and optional Permit to Carry class! We have also partnered with state representative Drew Roach to help spread the word and hopefully get others in the industry to follow suit, helping make more specialized courses that make these types of classes more comfortable for women to attend.

We've decided on October 18th for our 3 hour course from 1-4 in Castle Rock. The optional Permit to Carry class is half price at $40 and is provided by Sure Shot Training from 8-11am at the Farmington VFW.

The bus is scheduled to load around 12:15 at the Farmington VFW back parking lot. The bus will leave around 12:30 and we should arrive at the farm around 12:45. There, Zellmer farms has graciously donated a tractor and wagons to have a nice fall time hay wagon ride out to the training area. We will also have coffee and hot cocoa provided by Beans & Boots and a fire pit or two if the weather necessitates it.

Once at the training area, we will break everyone into 5 groups of 10. Each group will rotate between first aid, ammunition recognition and magazine loading, self defense/non-lethal deterrents, and pistol/firearm familiarization. We will also have a live fire option for those who are interested. You do not need to bring a pistol to this course but you can if:
- You bring it cased and unloaded, with the action open or have a chamber flag/lock installed.
- Ammunition can be in the case with the pistol but the magazines MUST NOT be loaded.
- You make sure you have a way of labeling/tagging your case so it will not get mixed up with anyone else's.
- If you bring ammunition or are qualifying for your Permit to Carry, bring 50 rounds+ to have enough for qualification and any extra shooting you may want to do.

We will have pistols and ammunition for those who want to shoot but don't have anything. We have .22 caliber pistols which are perfect, light recoiling pistols for training new shooters.

All are welcome to drive to the farm as well if you feel you may need more in-depth training that goes past 3:45. Directions and parking instructions will be provided via email along with waivers before the event. We would prefer a head count on who will be riding the bus and who wants to drive. We do recommend the bus as easy parking is limited.

Pikes Peak Quarter Midget Association for the All American Clash race #3! First off wow, what a weekend!

Jacob and Everleigh both raced their hearts out! We learned a lot and they gained incredible experience from this race weekend! We are so proud of our drivers! Many podium finishes and handshakes! I will let the pictures speak for themselves!

The biggest highlight that will be a memory for years to come, was when I bought an Animal motor from a local club member(Thinking ahead for next year). Upon walking back to the trailer with it I passed by the Paulsrud’s trailer and jokingly (or so I thought) they said “Hey we brought an extra car let’s throw it in for the Feature races!” I laughed it off until they pulled the car out and said no seriously! We had a 30 min break before the features started and next thing I know everyone from Minnesota was thrashing to get this car ready! Absolutely amazing moment, you had to be there type thing!!! Jacob was skipping with joy to get into another car! It came down to the wire as pushing the car off under the lights the chain kept falling off!😩 Then we heard the call “Pits closed” 😞 but a caution came out on the green flag drop and we had the chain moved in line to stay on! Pushed off and race on! He started at the back and was reeling in the leader but settled for a P2 finish with a car that was in pieces just and hour earlier! An absolutely heart pumping moment! A huge huge thank you to Ross and Keith and their entire crew! Along with Dean and Nate and Kent! And all of the Minnesota guys! And of course Nana and Papa McNamara and Grandpa and Gigi! That’s what racing is all about thank you guys so much!!🏁🏁🏁 That is a memory for a lifetime!!
