Good Night Prayer with Jesus 🙏

What Christ touches doesn’t stay the same. Water became wine. Fishermen became fishers of men. Storms became still. Blind eyes opened. Lepers were cleansed. Demons fled. A tomb became empty. Everywhere Jesus went, He left things completely flipped on their head. Transformed. Alive. Redeemed. But the greatest transformation Jesus came to bring wasn’t external - it was spiritual.
Scripture teaches that humanity’s deepest problem isn't bad habits, emotional pain, political instability, lack of discipline, or broken systems. Beneath all of them is something deeper: separation from God caused by sin. Left to ourselves, the human heart drifts. Pride hardens us. Fear controls us. Lust enslaves us. Bitterness poisons us. Anxiety consumes us.
Even when we recognize the problem, we discover something frustrating about ourselves: we can modify our behavior for a season, but we can't resurrect our own hearts. That’s why the Gospel is such good news. Jesus didn't come to make "morally improved" people. He came to make spiritually dead people alive.
Throughout the Gospels, Jesus consistently moved toward the very people society avoided: the ashamed, the doubting, the exhausted, the outcast, the sinful, and the broken. He touched lepers that no one else would touch. He defended the condemned. He restored failures. He called cowards into courage and skeptics into faith. Again and again, Christ demonstrated that no life is too far gone for redemption. The cross became the place where that redemption was purchased.
Jesus willingly bore our sin, judgment, suffering, and death, so that humanity could be reconciled to God. Through His resurrection, He proved that sin and death would no longer have the final word. The Gospel then, isn't about self-improvement, it’s about new creation.
Guilt becomes forgiveness.
Shame becomes restoration.
Addiction becomes freedom.
Fear becomes peace.
Spiritual death becomes eternal life.
The miracle of Christianity is that God today steps into human brokenness and transforms what we could never heal on our own. Redemption is what Jesus specializes in. What He touches never stays the same.
What part of your life are you finally willing to place into His hands?
