Three Roots International

A couple weeks ago, 38 kindergarteners at Babogaya Primary School graduated. 🎓

Outside, under open sky, with balloons and families cheering — they sang, competed, and showed everything they'd learned before stepping into Grade 1.

Every child who started the year finished it. 100% retention.

This is what community-led education looks like. And it's just the beginning. We're so proud of each one of these graduates and the families who showed up for them.

This week's sports camp brought together 450 kids, 16 community young adult leaders, 8 volunteers, 5 staff, and 4 translators for three days of soccer, volleyball, and games in Ethiopia.

But beyond the sport, this camp has been a celebration — of every accomplishment from this past school year, and of what these kids are capable of. Gathered around athletics, they've been practicing leadership and teamwork in real time, led in large part by young adults from their own community.
