Our founder/CEO, I. David Daniels, has been asked by the Healthcare Compliance Industry Workgroup of the National Association of Black Compliance & Risk Management Professionals, Inc. (NABCRMP) to speak during a virtual event next Monday, Sept. 9th, about hashtag in organizations that exist for compliance purposes.

Compliance and psychological safety are not opposed concepts. The safer people feel psychologically, the more comfortable they are in identifying intentional and unintentional compliance issues. Policies protecting an organization's fiscal and financial health should not punish otherwise well-meaning human beings for following the rules.

Get ready; the Pre-Sale Campaign is a little over a week away!

For those who have been following these notes over the past few weeks, you know that there is a book in the hopper. There is a rumor of a potential “leak“ of a video describing the book soon, but according to the schedule we're working with, the webpage to get your pre-sale orders in won’t be live until likely the morning of September 16th.

It’s looking like there is a lot of interest. We have requests from multiple countries and multiple requests for many copies, including requests for signed hard copies for folks' coffee tables.

While David Daniels, talks in the book about how this hazard can be handled, but that’s not the goal. We perceive and experience the world differently; therefore, our vulnerability and risk from psychosocial hazard exposure vary greatly. This book is intended to help people realize that psychosocial hazards are “a thing,” but not necessarily focused on what to do about it. There are a lot of great ways to address these hazards, including effective job/position descriptions, objective recruitment, and selection processes, training based on the position one is assigned to, kind and compassionate leadership, a priority on both psychological and physical safety, living wages, appropriate benefits, and the list goes on.

The other really neat part about the pre-sale campaign is the community gathering to continue the journey to complete the book and those who will decide to join the movement to see more workplaces in the United States become safer and more human-centered places. Again, thank you for all the interest so far; it’s getting exciting. Stay tuned for the big reveal!
