Rookwood Pottery tile just completed on this one. One custom drawer to install, and this one is finished.
Rookwood has been hand crafting since thanksgiving day in 1880. Chances are, most of the historical tile you’ve seen in our area that you fell in love with, was made by them. They are still hand crafted today.
The cabinetry is designed and provided by The Requarth Co. - Supply One Kitchen Showroom. Another staple in our local history. Requarth was founded in 1860, provided lumber for the Wright brothers airplane, survived the flood of 1913, and is still providing superior products and service today.
I’m honored to have been invited into this home and have gotten to be a part of bringing this families vision to life, using historic staples of our local areas.

Lock miter joinery creates more surface area for glue, and does what it says.... locks the miter in place.
Your home is essentially the biggest piece of furniture you own, so why not use the same joinery methods wherever you can.

This project was built around a swing that the homeowner refinished with his grandmother throughout the years. The compass rose inlay in is honor of her name.
A couple of my favorite people, and I’m honored to have been a part of such a great tribute to the family.
Ipe rails and braces with Cumaru decking and columns. Hand selected contrasting colors of Cumaru for the inlay. Column style is matched to our pavilion column style at the same property.
