Chatfield Reservoir might be one of Colorado’s most unexpected summer gems, with boating, wake surfing, camping, biking, hiking, and even some of the best bird watching in the state.

I loved learning about the local boating community here, from Alpine Watersport making boat days more accessible with rentals and captained tours to local reservoirs.

Because yes, Colorado may be known for mountains, skiing, and hiking, but there’s something pretty magical about spending the day on the water, phones away, learning to surf a never ending wave with your people.

Colorado lifestyle is where I want to be all summer. 🚤🏄‍♀️
