This week we had another mouth to feed 😁.

🎅Santa Bob had an out-of-state Christmas in July gig, so we are bird-watching the Blue and Gold Macaw named "Harley".

It does not matter if we are watching a parrot🦜for a few days, or boarding a stray tortoise🐢 for a few months, we treat them all just like our own, and it works because "Harley" is loving his time here at Crazy Critters Inc.

Ken and I can't take the credit, even though we provide lots of enrichment.

We can not give credit to Mrs. Vicki, who makes the diet he is enjoying (we always need canned veggies and honey for the next batch).

All the credit goes to the birds. Parrots are highly social animals, primarily for survival and communication. Because this deeply ingrained social wiring is tied directly to their survival, flocking behavior dictates nearly every aspect of their biology. Please click through to read more...
