This really cool guy has been in a reining program for 4 years. He has a really cool frame. Stylish circles. Big fancy stop and a really cute turn. He has limited showing but is ready to go. Could easily do the Ranch Versatility. Easily maintained at home and good stalled or turned out.

Mickey was 1 in a million
Bred by Elmo Stiles in Canada and Originally trained by Bonnie Becker. He was brought to the Northwest by Jamie Falborg under the guidance of Doug Stroud. Jamie was Mickey's first girl but he went on to teach many many more. The list of lives he touched is long but distinguished.
Purchased by Mike Koehn and I in 1998. Mike 'if it's not a 73 it was a bad run' Koehn won countless awards including buckles, trophies and saddles. Mickey continued to teach and touch lives with riders like Erich Coit & Cheryl Barrett. Then one day he went home with Rod Powel and immediately taught Colby Powell to go faster. He was a cornerstone for LaRae in those years for her boys and her lesson program.
But the day came when he came back home and I took a tip from LaRae and made him the cornerstone of my program.
Mickey trained and showed all of my kids. As well as many many lessons. He thought me in 1998 what a reiner should feel like and by 2010 he was teaching me how to coach others to what a reiner should feel like.
Mickey's last little girl was my niece, Deziray Allen. She rode and showed him exactly how Mickey liked it. With ice in her veins and a willingness to let mickey take her down the pen 'just a little faster'.
He never faltered. His retirement run won him the NRHA youth 13U class with a 71.5. He was 30 years old. Mickey loved it.
He was a 1 in a million and will be greatly missed.
Mickey was humanely euthanized due to his age compromising his ability to regulate his basic body functions.
Rest in Peace old friend.
The Northwest lost a legend that help build reining in our area.
