Kaleidoscope Health and Rescue to host block party fundraiser 07/22/2026

Did you know we have some tv stars around here?! That's right, some pawsome representatives of Kaleidoscope were on WBNG 12 News Around The Tiers this past Monday, along with one of our adoptable fur ladies, Lavender! Sophia and Kaylee chatted about our Block Party fundraising event that is happening this coming Saturday, July 25th at 11am. Of course, Lavender completely stole the show with all her pretty little purrfectness! I mean, she is our current Kitty of the Month! Check out the interview below and be sure to come out and join the party on Saturday!πŸ₯³πŸ˜ΈπŸŽ‰πŸ“½οΈ

The first of our fruit litter has been adopted! This is Cherry and she was chosen before any of them ever made it to the website. That's because her new mom, Kathryn, is besties with one of our doctor's who happens to be fostering these kittos. While bonding during casual visits, mom ended up falling in love with this little fruit before anyone else had the chance to lay eyes on her! Luckily, Cherry got used to being around other furry family members in her foster home because she's joining two canines and a feline sibling. And now, there will never be a dull moment in this household with the addition of this Cherry on top!πŸ’πŸŽ‰πŸ’˜πŸ˜Έ

Today is Feline Leukemia Awareness Day and we'd like to bat some facts your way! To put things simply, kitties diagnosed with FeLV can live the same happy lives as other kitties, but just in a different way. They can live with other FeLV positive kitties or live in a home as an only child. They just require a little extra monitoring when it comes to their health since they are immunocompromised.πŸ’πŸ‘

Now, check out a few of our Kaleidoscope kitties who are both FeLV positive and living their best lives together in a totally pawsome kitty cottage with Audrey Woerter (formerly of Every Cat's Dream)! After extensive rehabilitation, Emma (cream/grey) has been thriving in her sanctuary for over a year now. Similarly, Betty Boop (black/white) also underwent thorough rehab and became Emma's housemate several months ago. Thanks to Audrey and her husband, these girls love their cottage life and even enjoy access to their outdoor catio! Anyone else jealous?!🏑😸

Little Miss Liberty Belle has been adopted...by yours truly (yup, breaking the wall yet again)! Last year, she came in as a tiny, frail, and battered little kitten. Her rescuer brought her to Kaleidoscope after witnessing a violent game of kickball in a parking lot...where this little girl was used as the ball. My bond with her was formed as soon as I got my hands on her little beaten body. I kept her close and carried her around everywhere on a daily basis. It wasn't long before she was ready to play with other kitties and grow into her silly, sassy personality! Deep down I knew we were meant for each other but I decided to give her a chance to be adopted. After she received her second application, I couldn't handle it and declared her adopted...by me! She joins a family of four felines, a human dad, and all the love she's ever dreamed of.πŸ₯°πŸ—½πŸŽ‰πŸ˜½
