I am really concerned about the amount of weird AI crochet things that are happening on this app.

There are a lot of reels that are showing some young person that worked really hard making a crochet item, bouquet of flowers, blanket, or a purse, or butterfly wings. And then it shows this person at a market getting made fun of or whatever they’re selling… and then a call to action. “Please purchase my item and keep me motivated because these bullies are hurting me.”

And I think that that is almost all of the crochet that I see in my feed. The amount of people in the comments that are sharing the post and saying “where can I buy one”but they don’t realize AI is super concerning to me.

And the item is so cheap and will not be an actual crocheted blanket or whatever…. It will be cheap knitting machine slop.

When I talk about this stuff on my personal page, people have started to Unfollow me because they like AI. Which is fine. I don’t care go away. But when I’m trying to make crochet part of my living and how I take care of my family, seeing the AI is sickening.
