🌱 Compassion is not something we are born fearing.
It’s something that is taught.

That’s why DAR conducts awareness and education programs across schools, villages, colleges, and communities, so the next generation grows up with empathy, not conflict. 🤍

🐾 Because coexistence doesn’t happen automatically.

It is learned.

Through conversations.
Through education.

Through helping people understand why community dogs behave the way they do…
and how humans and animals can live safely together.

In every session, we teach practical, life-saving awareness:
→ dog behaviour and body language
→ how to safely interact with community dogs
→ dog bite prevention techniques
→ rabies awareness and safety
→ sterilization and why it reduces suffering
→ compassion-based coexistence

🥺 And the most beautiful part?

Watching people slowly shift the way they see street dogs.

Children learning how to calmly respond instead of panicking.
Communities understanding that awareness protects both humans and animals.
People realizing coexistence is not impossible…
It’s simply something we were never taught properly.

🌱 These programs create ripple effects far bigger than one session.

Because one child who learns empathy today…
becomes an adult who chooses kindness tomorrow.

🫂 But there’s something most people don’t realize:

Programs like these take:
→ time
→ travel
→ planning
→ educational materials
→ trained staff
→ and resources

So who funds them?
🤍 Kind people like YOU.

Everything we do is powered by ordinary people
choosing to care enough to create change alongside us.

🌱 A kinder India will not appear overnight.

It will be built slowly,
through education, awareness, and communities choosing empathy again and again. 🐾🤍

❤️ Be the Person Who Chooses Kabir

Kabir was rescued after years of neglect. Chained outside and left with a painful wound around his neck, he was eventually abandoned by the very people who were supposed to care for him.

Today, he's safe at DAR, where he loves his walks, his friends, and every bit of attention he can get.

But what Kabir has never found is someone to call his own.

By sponsoring Kabir for ₹650 ($19) a month, you'll provide his food, medical care, daily adventures, and the love and security he deserves.

Will you be the person who chooses Kabir?

🥺 Percy kept living with a deep wound on his neck…
while still trying to be the sweetest boy ever. 💔

When Percy came to DAR,
his injury looked painful and exhausting.

A deep wound around his neck.
The kind that makes every movement uncomfortable.
Every touch sensitive.

🤍 And yet… Percy never stopped being gentle.

Still wagging his tail.
Still walking up to people for affection.
Still looking at us with those soft, trusting eyes.

🩺 So Percy’s healing journey began.

Round-the-clock care.
Careful wound cleaning.
Medication.
Rest.

And of course…
LOTS of yummy food. 🍛💛

Because if there’s one thing Percy loved through recovery,
it was mealtime. 🥹

🐾 Slowly, his days stopped revolving around pain.

The wound began healing.
His energy returned.
And little by little… his happy personality started shining brighter again.

🤍 He spent his days soaking up love from everyone at DAR.

Cuddles.
Attention.
Tasty treats.
Endless affection.

And honestly?
He acted like the shelter belonged to him by the end of it. 💛

🐶 And today?

This adorable baby has completely recovered. 🥹

No more painful wound.
No more discomfort.

Just Percy…
happy, loved, healed, and enjoying life exactly the way every dog deserves to. 🤍

🫂 Stories like Percy’s remind us:
sometimes recovery isn’t just medicine.

Sometimes healing also looks like:
feeling safe,
feeling loved,
and finally having people who refuse to give up on you. 🐾

⚠️ Emergency Rescue: Rook has already lost one eye…
and maggots are now eating away the rest of his face. 💔

When Rook came to us, his condition was devastating.

One eye completely gone.
A severe maggot-infested wound spreading across his face.

Flies constantly surrounding him.

🥺 No living being should ever have to endure this kind of pain.

And the hardest part?
Wounds like this don’t happen overnight.

They begin small.
Treatable.
Manageable.

But when suffering goes unnoticed for too long…
it turns into something unbearable. 😔

Imagine trying to survive on the streets while your face burns, itches, and gets eaten away slowly every single day.

And yet… Rook stayed gentle.
Quiet. Trusting. 🤍

As if he was still hoping someone would finally help him.

🩺 Rook is now under our care,
but his condition is extremely critical and he urgently needs treatment NOW.

He needs:

→ Deep wound cleaning and maggot removal
→ Infection control and medication
→ Pain management and supportive care
→ Nutritional support and continuous monitoring

🆘 He needs ₹19,600 ($210)
****But even ₹50 helps!

But we cannot cover Rook’s treatment without YOUR DONATIONS.
Every rescue we take in survives because people choose to help. 🥺

🙏 Please give whatever you can.

Because right now…
he needs people willing to fight for him. 🤍
