I have been writing and roughing out songs for upcoming releases. Funny, one day I love a song and a week later I wonder what I was thinking., and Im always thinking.
Ive had to completly redo my studio. Its hard but hopefully be worth it in the end.
I have also started a recording course with a cat in Nashville that Ive always liked. I have learned a lot already. Things change so quick in the new world, what was new and cutting edge a couple years ago is obsolete. Crazy, but I love learning.

Final finished with sound reduction in my studio . For all my music friends that are struggling with outside noise, this is 5/8 drywall on the window, rockwool safe & sound on top of that. Green glue for more sound reduction, all seams sealed with acoustic sealant and then a doubly ply acoustic sound blanket over the window plug. I’m hoping to reduce the amount of dogs barking and w**d whacking on my recordings…try to get a song out by next Friday.Fingers crossed

Trying to get my studio close to soundproof today. Outside noise has hindered me from recording for a long time. I’m going to try and get this done so I can work without being forced to stop over and over. I’m having to use double drywall on all windows and walls. 1/4 “ vinyl sheets behind that and then sound reducing rockwool framing…..back to recording on Monday!

Wow....today I was on my last track of recording. Its a pretty delicate acoustic guitar part. I start about 7:15 am.....within minutes I can hear some cars whooshing but I can edit that out but by 7:45, the chain saw orchestra starts up..in stereo....I go outside to see where its coming from.......2 houses to the left and two houses to the right. Praying for some silence........amen
