👋 Hi neighbor — I'm Jillian Cocayne, and I'm reintroducing myself as a candidate for Encinitas Union School District Trustee. Here is my deal.
➡️ Public school kid from Missouri. Poli sci grad. Career in policy & tech, including roles in London and Brussels. Now happily working from home in Encinitas. ➡️ Mom of a La Costa Heights 5th grader & volunteer with the Special Education Parent Council. ➡️ Two years ago, my family went through a crisis. The support of our school's teachers & staff and the resources the district provided helped us make it through. Once things settled, I knew I had to give back. ➡️ Since then, I've attended more EUSD meetings than any community member. Plus I serve on the Citizen Bond Oversight Committee for the 2024 school bond. I'm not just running; I'm already at the table.
